Graham Gillmore

Graham Gillmore is an internationally renowned artist. He is most recognized by his id driven, text infused drawings and paintings. Gillmore often cultivates inspiration from found vintage ledger paper (his father was an accountant) and architectural maps, and then layers his signature word play to create work that is both intellectually tantalizing and visually inspired. Combining a raw and edgy talent with a heroic use of paint, his work has been celebrated by contemporary art institutions worldwide. Reviews of his work have appeared in Art in America, Contemporary magazine, and ArtForum. He shares his time between his studios in rural British Columbia and New York City.
