The Skyscapes series combines the two things the artist loves most – the sky and animals.
Laine Justice creates fantastical landscapes filled with numerous animals, birds and flora, big and small that fit together like a puzzle.
In her imagination she sees these animal landscapes up in the sky.

Spending cherished time under the stars “remembering all the animals and people under the stars with me, all the centuries that have gone by before me and will go after” This faith in nature “so genuine, and beautiful”, “the peacefulness however harsh” has had a lasting influence on the artists life and work.

Laine Justice was born in Birmingham Alabama, grew up in Portland, Oregon and now resides in Sonoma, California. Justice received her BFA in painting with honors from Pratt Institute, School of Fine Arts, Brooklyn, New York.
